IIMUN 2027

Code of Conduct

All participants in IIMUN 2027 are bound by this Code of Conduct. Read it carefully before registering.

⚖️
Operated by Islamabad Forum for Strategic Studies SMC-Private LimitedThis Code of Conduct governs all participants in IIMUN 2027. By completing registration, you agree to be bound by all terms below.
1

Registration and Fees

Registration fees must be paid within 72 hours of receiving payment instructions. Early Bird fee: Rs 4,000 — capacity-based, open only to the first 40 delegates who register, and can close at any time without prior notice once that number is reached. Standard fee: Rs 5,500 — applies automatically to all registrations once Early Bird capacity is reached. Observer fee: Rs 1,000. International delegate fees are communicated personally by the Secretariat after application review. Fees are non-negotiable once the applicable tier has closed.

2

No Refund Policy

IIMUN does not issue refunds under any circumstances. If a registered delegate is unable to attend, they have the following options: (a) Transfer to next summit — their registration may be transferred to the next IIMUN summit at no additional charge, subject to Secretariat approval; or (b) Transfer to another delegate — they may assign their registration to another individual of their choice, subject to Secretariat approval and that individual completing the full registration form. All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to secretariat@islamabadinternationalmun.com at least 7 days before the conference. No transfers are processed after this deadline. No exceptions.

3

Professional Conduct Standards

All delegates are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, courtesy, and intellectual integrity throughout all IIMUN activities — including committee sessions, breaks, social events, and all interactions with fellow delegates, chairs, and Secretariat staff both at the venue and in any associated communications. Delegates who disrupt proceedings, make personal attacks on other delegates, engage in discriminatory language or behaviour, plagiarise position papers, or behave in a manner deemed prejudicial to the conference will be removed without refund and may be permanently barred from future IIMUN editions.

4

Rules of Procedure

All delegates must strictly follow IIMUN's published Rules of Procedure in all committee sessions. The Chair's rulings on matters of procedure are final and non-negotiable. Points of order must be raised only for genuine procedural issues. Abuse of procedural motions to delay or disrupt debate is a violation of this Code. Delegates must have reviewed the Rules of Procedure before the conference begins.

5

Position Papers

All delegates (except IPC Press Corps members) are required to submit a position paper by January 8, 2027. Position papers must be entirely the delegate's own work. Use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any similar tool) to write position papers is strictly prohibited. Plagiarism — including paraphrasing without citation — will result in immediate disqualification from all awards. Position papers must use the official IIMUN template and be submitted to secretariat@islamabadinternationalmun.com with the subject line: [COMMITTEE] [COUNTRY] Position Paper — [Full Name].

6

Attendance Requirements

Delegates are expected to attend both full days of the conference (January 23 and 24, 2027). Delegates who miss more than one full session without providing advance notice to the Secretariat will be marked absent and will not be eligible for any awards. Award eligibility requires attendance at a minimum of 75% of committee sessions. The Secretariat must be notified of any absences at least 2 hours before the relevant session.

7

Online Conference Standards

This is a in-person conference. Delegates must have a working internet connection and microphone for all sessions. Camera use is strongly encouraged and may be required by the Chair during formal debate. Delegates must join sessions from a quiet, appropriate environment. Background imagery and clothing must be professional. VPN use that disrupts platform access is the delegate's responsibility. Connection problems do not constitute grounds for refund.

8

Social Media and Branding

Delegates are encouraged to share their IIMUN experience on social media and must follow @islamabadintmun on Instagram as a condition of registration. Delegates may not use IIMUN logos, letterheads, or official titles in any personal context without written Secretariat permission. Misrepresentation of IIMUN in any public forum — including false claims of awards, roles, or affiliations — may result in permanent disqualification.

9

Confidentiality and Data

Delegates consent to IIMUN using non-identifiable event photographs and video excerpts for official communications and social media. No delegate may record or redistribute committee sessions without express written permission from the Secretariat. Personal data collected during registration is used solely for IIMUN administration and is not shared with third parties except as required by Pakistani law.

10

Jurisdiction and Authority

IIMUN is operated by Islamabad Forum for Strategic Studies SMC-Private Limited, registered in Pakistan. All disputes arising from participation in IIMUN shall be governed by Pakistani law. The Secretary-General's decision on all matters relating to conference management, conduct, and awards is final and binding. The Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify any delegate without notice for serious violations of this Code.

11

Force Majeure

IIMUN reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel the conference in the event of circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to technical failures, security incidents, or governmental orders. In such cases, registrations will be transferred to the rescheduled date at no charge, or refunded at the Secretariat's sole discretion.
